Wiggle started out as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop established in Portsmouth, UK in 1920. In 1999, Butlers Cycles went online with the launch of wiggle.co.uk.

By focusing on providing unmatched value and great customer service, Wiggle rapidly took off in the UK and soon began expanding around the globe. We have now grown to become a global leader in the online retail of equipment for cycling, running and swimming, selling to over 70 countries in 10 languages and 14 currencies.

UX Designer

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic UX Designer who is passionate about improving the user experience by understanding and empathising with the people we are designing for. We’re looking for someone who approaches work with curiosity and a high degree of attention to detail. 

What will I be doing?

We put users at the heart of what we do, and you’ll be creating engaging digital experiences that are loved by our customers and deliver real business growth. The role will see you working in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, to design and improve the customer journey by creating conceptual sketches, wireframes and prototypes and assisting in user research. We are flexible depending on what type of work you are doing. Some of our UX Designers tools include Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma, InVision, Marvel, Zepplin, Axure and Balsamiq

Responsibilities

  • Help to define and improve the interface and experience of Wiggle and CRC
  • Propose and design UX improvements which can impact multiple areas of the sites
  • Design features that fit within the larger experience and flows
  • Create deliverables (wireframes, mockups, prototypes, flows etc) to communicate ideas
  • Suggest and vet design tools and workflow improvements
  • Collaborate with team members across the business and advocate for users and a User Centred Design process
  • Stay informed and share latest on UX/UI techniques, tools and patterns
  • Understand responsive design and best practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of design systems theory and practice
  • Assist UX researcher to conduct research and evaluate and incorporate feedback from UX research into deliverables.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • We are looking for a UX Designer with a solid understanding of UX best practice and web standards, and who has experience working in an Agile project environment.
  • We are looking for self-motivated, creative people with strong communications skills that can drive real change for our customers.
  • 2+ years previous experience in a UX role.
  • Experience of responsive web design
  • Ability to digest research findings and illustrate innovative solutions
  • A passion for usability and accessibility standards

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for development on our bespoke, multi lingual, multi-currency, international eCommerce websites.  As a member of the development team, you will be working closely with other developers and testers as well as business stakeholders. 

  • Working on strategic projects, in order to deliver large scale operational improvements
  • Delivering change as part of regular releases (typically every 2 weeks)
  • Working as part of a small team of developers and QA's, reporting to Lead Developer

Who are we looking for?

Essential skills:

Senior Developer


Job Title: Senior Developer

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Developer you will design, create, test and document new and existing software components from supplied specifications. Project change may require the introduction of new Wiggle systems, enhancements to existing systems and integration with 3rd party systems.  You will lead a small squad of 3-4 developers within the front end development team.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of leading development teams to deliver software change and being responsible for delivery of collaborative package of work
  • Development frameworks: Microsoft .Net 4.x with C#
  • Web Technologies: Microsoft Asp.Net MVC 5, HTML5 and CSS, JavaScript and frameworks
  • Testing Frameworks: NUnit, Moq or equivalent
  • Data & SOA: Microsoft SQL Server 2012+,

Financial Accountant

WiggleCRC are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant to Join the team in Portsmouth.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Head of Tax, Accounting and Cashflow, the Financial Accountant provides support to the HTAC and is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the tax, duty and VAT of the Group.  The FA also works closely with the wider Financial Control team to assist where possible and ensure accurate monthly consolidated management accounts.

The FA will be the Line Manager for the Import Export Analyst.  The FA acts as key member in ensuring that the group accounts are correctly presented from a technical perspective and that all tax obligations are complied with.

Accountabilities:

  • Management and support of one direct report;
  • Overseeing the customs warehouse operation and reporting on performance;
  • Completion of all VAT returns;
  • Monthly Reconciliation of VAT accounts;
  • Working with tax advisers to assist with the annual corporation tax returns and research and development claims;
  • Completion of tax notes to be included in the statutory accounts;
  • Seeking continuous improvement in the area of customs warehouse, tax and VAT;
  • Active participation in projects to improve tax, VAT and financial reporting;
  • Assisting the wider Financial Control team where required;
  • Assisting the wider business with a focus on buying and merchandising to understand the impacts of VAT;
  • Assisting the wider business with a focus on operations to understand the duty regime and how cost savings can be realised;

 

KPI’s:

  • Ensuring tight internal controls around Tax, VAT and Financial Reporting
  • Timely submission of VAT returns, eliminating all penalties and interest
  • Full reconciliation of all VAT accounts with no differences
  • Timely completion and submission of annual corporation tax returns
  • Providing support and cover to the Import Export Analyst in order to successfully operate the customs warehouse
  • Understanding and resolving any system process that impact the VAT accounts

 

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Practice trained preferable
  • Technical accounting experience essential
  • Experience of large Groups, trading globally
  • Corporate Tax and VAT experience preferable but not essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What will I be doing?

The Online Marketing Manager is a key role in driving the growth of Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles websites across AU & NZ. Working for the top tri sports retailer in Britain, and a major international player, this role will have responsibility for maximising profitability through the growth of sessions, revenue and market share across a variety of online sales promotion channels inhouse, primarily Paid Search and Shopping but also including Organic, Affiliates, and Remarketing.   

You will also…

  • Be responsible for Australia and New Zealand’s Sales Promotion budget of approx. £1.7m
  • Own traffic, revenue and profit targets for AU and NZ markets, which accounts for approx. 10% of total group revenue
  • Create, own and deliver an online marketing plan and maximise sales and profitability
  • Build and optimise paid search campaigns for WiggleCRC
  • Work with the AU/NZ Site Merchandiser & Marketing Manager to ensure traffic generating opportunities are maximised
  • Regular analysis of campaign performance against targets and report back to the team / wider business
  • Influence content plan to help grow organic traffic
  • Finance management – PO’s, receipting and budget tracking

What experience would we like you to have?

  • 1+ year paid search experience
  • Experience in using Online Marketing platforms (such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords)
  • Understanding of how search engines work and interact with websites
  • Some experience of bid management tools is a plus

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for leading customer acquisition and new channel development for the WiggleCRC group.  You will be responsible for developing customer acquisition strategy, leading in-house channel management and innovation and managing a team to drive new customer acquisition.

  • Developing new digital channels for customer acquisition.
  • Developing new off-line channels for customer acquisition.
  • Planning and implementation of acquisition campaigns, optimising campaigns through data analysis and A/B testing, and the identification and development new channel opportunities that are ready to be scaled.
  • Manage channel development and cover (but not be limited to) YouTube, Google Display Network, other programmatic ad networks, publisher networks, social platforms, content development, press, print and partnership opportunities.
  • Delivering channel performance: Building team capabilities, processes and systems for management control that develop and deliver Wiggle CRC channel performance.
  • Identifying and capturing growth opportunities: Working with Marketing and Commercial teams to identify growth opportunities at brand, territory and channel level, through deep customer and channel understanding.  Develop a robust testing approach to enable continuous iteration and improvement.

Videographer

WiggleCRC are looking for a Creative Videographer to join the team on a permanent basis in Portsmouth

 

What will you be doing?

Working closely with our social media team the Videographer will produce creative, engaging and relevant video content for use across a wide range of media, for the Wiggle retail brand. Working closely with stakeholders across the wider business, the successful candidate will engage with teams and individuals to produce this in keeping with the overall Integrated Marketing Plan.

Accountabilities:

  • Planning, creating storyboards and organising product to be used
  • Filming and editing material for use across Wiggle channels
  • Being the champion for video content and generating new ideas on how to boost views and engagement with it
  • Managing the You Tube channel
  • Creating creative, engaging and relevant video content that our customers will love
  • Working closely with other stakeholders such as the Brand Content Executive, Creative Lead and Category Marketing teams

 

Who are we looking for?

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant subject (Media, Film etc)
  • Experience of setting up and operating cameras and sound equipment
  • A good understanding of setting up lighting for filming
  • A good understanding of what’s needed to set up a small video studio
  • Experienced in Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects or similar software, plus Adobe Suite (Photoshop etc)
  • A passion for cycling and / or tri sports would be a distinct advantage
  • Stills photography experience preferred but not essential

Test Manager

Job Title: Test Manager

What will you be doing?

You will define the testing standards and processes and create high level test strategies  to support business change. You will lead the Test team and be the advocate for QA best practices and lead initiatives such as automation.

Responsibilities

  • Formulation and implantation of software testing strategies, standards and processes across WiggleCRC
  • Lead and mentor a distributed team consisting of permanent and contracting test resources.
  • Working on larger strategic projects, in order to deliver large scale operational improvements.
  • Support multiple Scrum and Waterfall delivery teams with estimation, planning and strategy

for testing Wiggle Systems.

  • Manage the creation and on-going development of an automated and manual testing framework.
  • Advocate for QA best practices across project delivery, establishing and embedding a

programme level testing strategy applicable to all change.

  • Oversee the full Testing lifecycle from:
  • Requirements analysis, architectural design requirements,
  • Test planning: unit testing, API testing, integration testing, system testing, functional testing and operational testing
  • Create high level testing model
  • Test Environment set up
  • Test case development
  • Test execution
  • Test cycle closure
  • Organise and lead initiatives to improve test processes, extend the use of tools / frameworks

(where appropriate) and develop team members to improve efficiency.

  • Perform (project-level) test lead duties when needed including stakeholder discussions and
  • Create testing report summary for the business. 

Who are we looking for?

  • Solid test management background within a fast-paced business with experience using

multiple testing technologies.

  • Defining a test strategy including test approach, test data management and environments.
  • Functional test planning, preparation and execution including experience of test design

techniques.

  • Managing and executing non-functional tests such as load testing, penetration testing and UI

testing.

  • Leading and managing a distributed team of test analysts.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and written English skills.
  • Working with Agile and Waterfall delivery processes.
  • Working knowledge of one or more source configuration management and defect tracking

systems.

  • Strong functional understanding of common retail and e-commerce systems.

Change Analyst

Job Title: Change Analyst

WiggleCRC have an exciting opportunity for an Change Analyst to join the team.

What will you be doing?

Support the Change and Release Manager in the maintenance of Change, Release and Service Introduction processes ensuring efficient and prompt handling of change, coordination of releases and effective handover of projects into IT Service Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, record, categorise and distribute Change Controls and arrange for authorisation or rejection within agreed timescales and at appropriate level of authority
  • Manage and distribute the Forward Schedule of Change and ensure all parties receive the maximum period of notice of any down time
  • Review all implemented RFCs to ensure that objectives have been met
  • Deputise for the Change and Release Manager as authority on Change
  • Support the WiggleCRC Release Management process ensuring all releases are appropriately scheduled, tested and planned
  • Ensure appropriate level of testing has been successfully completed to assure the release is fit for use
  • Use appropriate tools to track all releases through the SDLC
  • Ensure the correct resource is available and informed for all releases
  • Create and distribute appropriate business and technical communications for all releases
  • Generate and distribute release documentation
  • Work with third party support teams to schedule requested and required releases into live environments
  • Ensure early engagement with project teams for all small and medium sized projects to assist in planning for what is required to transition into the live environment

Group Central Merchandising Analyst

WiggleCRC have an exciting opportunity for an analyst to join the ride in Portsmouth.

What will you be doing?

To work with all the WiggleCRC Merchandising and Replenishment teams to achieve higher availability and increased inventory turn through automated ordering. You will support the Group Central Merchandising Manager in delivering effective Automated Ordering by working closely with all the other B&M teams.

Responsibilities

  • Producing high quality forecast analysis, communicating findings and insight to internal teams that drives actions and quantifiable business outcomes
  • Ensuring SO99+ contains all the business planning inputs such as new product information and promotions for relevant products
  • Analysing the past performance of promotions to enhance the modelling of future ones in SO99+
  • Collaborating with the Replenishment Teams to conduct root cause analysis on Availability, Overstocks and Understocks driven by Forecast Accuracy and Supplier Fulfilment rates
  • Optimising current processes and suggesting new approaches to meeting business needs
  • Carrying out ad-hoc analytics exercises for business planning
  • Communicates and coaches replenishment and merchandising teams on automated ordering

Who are we looking for?

  • Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables
  • Understands and can explain the principles of root cause analysis
  • Working knowledge of forecasting and supply chain principles, specifically lead times, safety stock and OTIF
  • Working knowledge of supply chain planning analytical tools
  • Analytical individual that is very comfortable working with large volumes of numerical data
  • Independently solves problems and develops new ways of working in systematic and logical way

You will be dealing with tickets relating to production issues that can be raised from anywhere in the business, including IT itself. You will be performing code changes or escalating it to one of the development teams.
